1/48 scale German Luftwaffe MiG-29 Fulcrum model / FUN CLUB

Greetings, ResKit enthusiasts!

Today, we're thrilled to showcase the impressive work of Michael McCarty, who has masterfully assembled and customized his 1/48 scale German Luftwaffe MiG-29 Fulcrum model.

Despite historical inaccuracies, Michael's creativity and attention to detail have resulted in a stunning rendition of aircraft 29+13, belonging to the Jagdgeschwader 71 "Richthofen."

Michael's build highlights the versatility and quality of ResKit accessories, including wheels, fire cans, pylons, and missiles, which have seamlessly enhanced the model's realism and appearance. In terms of painting and finishing, Michael utilized a combination of Tamiya, MRP (Mr Paint), Mig Ammo, and Posca paints, complemented by clear varnishes from MRP for a flawless finish.

Weathering techniques, including panel lining and pastel chalk, were expertly applied to achieve a weathered and realistic appearance.

Behind the scenes, Michael employed airbrushes from Badger, Iwata, and Infinity, powered by an Iwata compressor, showcasing his dedication to precision and craftsmanship.
